Please note, these “ conditions ” can potentially change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check before ordering products in case there are any changes. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions set out below, you should not use or access these websites. We are Joe Browns Limited of Kandy Works, Brown Lane East, Holbeck, Leeds LS11 0BT, Company Registration number 2540247 and Registered VAT number 708406738. These terms and conditions will apply between you and Joe Browns Limited, when you purchase an item from www.joebrowns.co.uk or www.joebrowns.com. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
- Your contract for purchases made through www.joebrowns.co.uk is with Joe Browns Limited and you undertake that all goods ordered by you are for your own private and domestic use only and are not for resale.
- You must be eighteen years old or above to use this site. If you are under eighteen, you may only use the site in conjunction with, and under the supervision of, a parent or guardian. If you do not qualify, please do not use the site.
- You warrant that all details you provide to www.joebrowns.co.uk for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods are true, accurate, current and complete in all respects; and that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover payment of the product(s) ordered.
- You agree that e-mail can be used as a method of communicating with you.
- During the registration process, you must enter a valid e-mail address as a user name and choose a password. You are responsible for all actions taken under that username and password and must only purchase from www.joebrowns.co.uk under your own username and password. You must make every effort to keep your password safe and should not disclose it to anyone. If it is compromised, you must change it. You may not transfer or sell your username to anyone, nor permit, either directly or indirectly, anyone to use your username or password. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform Joe Browns Limited as soon as possible.
- It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught wilfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will have their details passed onto the Police. Joe Browns Limited tracks the electronic 'fingerprints' of every order placed on www.joebrowns.co.uk to enable us, and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities, to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on our website.
- Joe Browns Limited reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you and to suspend or terminate your access to the site immediately and without notice to you if:
- you fail to make payment to us when due.
- you breach any of our terms and conditions.
- when requested by us to do so, you fail to provide within a reasonable time frame, sufficient information to enable us to determine the accuracy and validity of any information supplied by you, or your identity.
- we suspect you have engaged, or are about to engage, or have way of being involved in fraudulent or illegal activity on www.joebrowns.co.uk.
You agree to reimburse us for any reasonable and foreseeable losses, costs and expenses that we incur as a result of a breach of these Conditions caused either by yourself or by someone that you have permitted to use your Joe Browns Limited website shopping account.
- When placing an order, you warrant that all information given is accurate and complete.
- All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.
- Availability information for products is listed on each individual product description. If Joe Browns Limited has insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered, we will not charge your credit or debit card until your goods are being despatched.
- All prices listed on www.joebrowns.co.uk are correct at the time of entering the information; however, we reserve the right to change prices of any product at any time. All prices include sales tax. Where an item price is discounted, the "was" price refers to the original selling price of that item whereby such item was offered for sale on joebrowns.co.uk for a period of more than 28 consecutive days. This "was" price will always refer to the original selling price and does not reflect any subsequent or intermediate price reductions that may have been applied to the item.
- Only one promotional code can be redeemed against any one order. Promotional codes cannot be redeemed against orders that have been submitted to us via an affiliate website, unless the promotional code is used in lieu of any benefits that have been offered by the affiliate partner.
- We will not charge your credit card until the point of despatch of the goods; therefore no contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and Joe Browns Limited until we accept your order by despatching the product to you. When this happens we will confirm the acceptance by sending you an email.
- This confirmation email will be sent to the email address given in your order form and will detail products ordered, payment method, cost (including VAT and P&P) and usual delivery times.
- You must check all the details on this confirmation email are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.
- If your order has not been accepted, we will endeavour to contact you to explain the reasons why.
- The delivery period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order. If you are ordering more than one item, your goods may be sent to you in instalments if certain items are out of stock.
- If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information. Also note that, unfortunately, we may have to wait up to 18 working days (or 25 working days for overseas orders) before we are able to issue refunds or replacement items for any parcels that might have been lost or delayed during transit.
- During our sale period, it may take longer than usual for some orders to be despatched. If placed online, your order status can be tracked in the My Account section of our website.
Orders despatched to myHermes ParcelShop locations should arrive at your chosen ParcelShop within no more than seven working days once we have despatched your parcel.
If you have chosen to provide us with a mobile telephone number and that number is listed in the 'mobile' field then you should receive an SMS text message from Hermes once your parcel has arrived at your chosen ParcelShop. Where a mobile telephone number has not been listed in the 'mobile' field, we will endeavour to contact you ourselves via email.
You have ten days from the date of your parcel arriving at your chosen ParcelShop to collect your goods - if you do not collect your order within ten days of it arriving at your chosen ParcelShop then it will be returned to us.
It is imperative that you take one of the following documents when collecting your order from the ParcelShop - you will not be able to retrieve your order unless you can provide the ParcelShop operators with one of these documents:
- Credit/debit card,
- Foreign ID card,
- Photo driving license,
- Photo ID card,
- UK driving license
Additionally, parcels cannot be collected by anybody other than the person named on the parcel's address label.
If you do not collect your order within ten days of it arriving at your chosen ParcelShop and it is returned to us then we will upon receipt of your parcel either issue you with a refund or contact you to discuss whether you would like for the parcel to be despatched for a second time.
We strongly suggest contacting your chosen ParcelShop prior to making a special journey to collect your parcel if you are in any doubt about their opening times etc.
Joe Browns Limited accept most major credit/debit cards:
- Visa Electron
- All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
- Joe Browns Limited also accepts payments by personal cheque or by postal order. These should be made payable to Joe Browns Ltd. Please allow up to 10 working days for all cheques to clear.
Cancelling an order
- You are entitled to cancel this contract and receive a full refund provided that you exercise your right within seven working days after the day on which you receive the products. (Bank Holidays do not count as working days).
- The procedures for cancellation are detailed below and vary depending at what stage of the order process you are at.
- If you haven't already submitted an order, you may clear the items in your shopping basket at any time prior by clicking the 'Remove' button next to the product ordered in you shopping basket.
- If you have submitted your order, you can still cancel your order up to the point of us beginning to process your order - please either call our customer services team on 0113 270 6655, or email your cancellation request to us via our contact us page. If we have not already begun processing your order at the point of us receiving your request then your cancellation request will be honoured immediately upon our receipt of your request and no payment will be taken.
- If you wish to cancel your order after we have begun processing your order then you can return your order to us, in which case we will refund the full cost of the goods that you return to us (please see our returns procedure for more information).
- Once we've received notification from you that you wish to cancel an order, any sum charged by us to your credit or debit card will be re-credited to that credit or debit account within 30 days of your order, provided the goods you return are in the same condition that they were when delivered to you. Obviously this allows you to try the garments on, however we would ask you leave all labelling in place wherever possible.
- You will be liable to any charges incurred when returning the goods to Joe Browns Limited, unless the return is as a result of an error on our part.
In the run up to Christmas, we extend our 21 day returns period to allow you to return any items that you purchase for friends and family as Christmas presents after the 25th of December, but please ensure that all items are returned to us no later than the 11th of January.
Items must be unused. Obviously this does allow you to try the goods on, but please try and keep labelling in place wherever possible.
For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of underwear unless the goods are faulty upon receipt.
To return goods, simply fill out the reverse of the invoice carefully, parcel the goods in suitable packaging and return to us at the address stated on the reverse of the invoice. Please ensure the invoice is included with the goods and that you've marked on it what you're returning and why and list any items you require in exchange of those returned. If you no longer have the original invoice then please contact us with your full address, order number or customer number. If any items to be exchanged are more expensive than the original items, you will need to supply a daytime telephone number, which allows us to contact you during office hours; this is so that we can obtain payment details for the additional charges. If we cannot reach you then we will either leave a message, send a letter or email you asking for you to contact us.
The myHermes free returns option is only available if you have access to a printer and a 'ParcelShop'. For more details about this service visit http://www.myhermes.co.uk/returns/joebrowns If you do not have access to the service offered by myHermes then you can use the Royal Mail free returns label enclosed with your order to return your items free of charge via a Post Office branch.
Please ensure that you receive proof of posting for your own records and have adequate insurance cover should the parcel be lost, as Joe Browns cannot be held responsible if your returned parcel fails to reach us.
You have a statutory right to have a full refund including the outbound postage and packing charges if you notify us in writing within seven working days from the day after you receive your goods that you intend on returning your order to us.
Exchange Procedure for faulty or incorrect goods
Joe Browns Limited will be happy to exchange products that are damaged, faulty or incorrectly shipped through any circumstance that is in our error within 6 months from the date of despatch. Obviously it will help us to resolve any issues if you can let us know as soon as the problem becomes evident.
- By purchasing from us, you agree to us sending our catalogue publications to you by post. If you provide us with an email address at the point of placing your order or thereafter then you agree to receiving promotional emails. However, if you would prefer not to receive catalogues and/or emails from us then please contact us via our 'contact us' page, or by calling us on 0113 270 6655.
- Joe Browns Limited will not disclose your telephone number or e-mail address to any third parties. We may pass your name and address to the small number of carefully selected third party companies we occasionally work with. You can opt-out by contacting us, or via our online checkout or catalogue request facility.
- By purchasing from us, you agree that we may use personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks. Personal information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, who may keep a record of that information.
- We will never ask for personal details via email. If you receive an unsolicited email asking you for your www.joebrowns.co.uk login details then please contact our customer service team immediately.
- If you have supplied us with an email address prior to or at the point of placing an order with us then your email address will be shared with our feedback partners Feefo. Feefo will send you an email invitation 14 days after we have despatched your order welcoming you to leave feedback about your purchase. There is an opt-out facility within the email that Feefo will send to you if you would rather not receive emails from them.
- We reserve the right to change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services.
- We may modify these Conditions at any time by posting the Conditions on our website. You may terminate your contract with us if you reasonably consider that you have been disadvantaged by any change we may make to these Conditions.
- If an error is discovered in the price of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that you order an item and the price published on www.joebrowns.co.uk is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was advertised at an incorrect price. We shall give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or if you so choose, to cancel the order altogether. If you cancel and have already paid for the goods in the circumstances described in this clause, we shall refund the full amount within 30 days of the date of order.
- We have taken all reasonable measures to provide accurate product images for each product for sale on the site. However, please be aware that due to a number of mitigating factors such as Internet browsers and monitor colour contrasts colours may appear to vary slightly from the product as it appears on your screen and we cannot be held responsible or liable for any minor colour discrepancies between the image and the actual product.
- The products sold on www.joebrowns.co.uk are provided for private domestic and consumer use only. Accordingly, we do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of the Site or for any products or services purchased from Joe Browns Limited.
- We have taken all reasonable measures to prevent Internet fraud and ensure any data collected from you is stored as securely and safely as possible. However, we cannot be held liable in the extremely unlikely event of a breach in our secure computer servers.
- We shall have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered or any other matters to the extent that the delay is due to any event outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, flood, fire, labour disputes, strikes, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, explosion, governmental actions and any other similar events.
- We make no warranty that the Website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of the Website. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the Website.
- We shall exercise reasonable skill and care in providing the goods to you in accordance with these Conditions however any liability we have to you of any kind is limited to the charges paid by you in the twelve-month period prior to the event causing the liability.
- We will not be liable, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence), pre-contract or other representations (other than fraudulent or negligent misrepresentations) or otherwise out of or in connection with
the conditions for:
- Any economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings); or
- Any loss of goodwill or reputation; or
- Any special or indirect losses suffered or incurred by that party arising out of or in connection with the provisions of any matter under the Conditions
- In the event that you do not receive an order that we have despatched to you and you fail to contact us to report this to us within 30 days then we will not be held liable for any losses incurred; you must report the non-delivery of goods within 30 days of us despatching those goods to you, else we may refuse to issue a refund against those goods or replace those goods at no additional cost to you.
- Nothing in the Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death of personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our servants, agents or employees.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content on the Website are owned by us. Any access or use of the Website for any reason other than your personal, non-commercial use is prohibited and we do enforce any infringements of this policy.
No part of the Website may be reproduced or stored in any other website or included in any public or private electronic retrieval system or Website without our prior written permission.
You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within the Website is made available for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may (if necessary to make a purchase of Product(s)) download such material and content on to only one computer hard drive for such purpose. Any other use of the material and content of the Website is strictly prohibited.
You agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.
Third Party Information
We can not be held responsible for material displayed on third party websites or any other written material. The only prices that apply for Joe Browns Limited products are those stated on the Joe Browns material. We can not vouch for the reliability of prices stated on shopping directories or through any other third party.
If any individual part of these Conditions shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the enforceability of any other part of these Conditions.
- These Conditions govern our relationship with you.
- You acknowledge that in agreeing to these Conditions that you have not relied on any other statement, representation or assurance other than as expressly set out within the Conditions.
- Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude any liability for fraud.
- These terms and conditions do not affect your rights under law. If you require any advice or assistance we would suggest you contact your local branch of the citizens' advice bureau who should be able to help.
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales unless you live in Scotland in which case, it will be governed by Scots law or Northern Ireland in which case Northern Irish law will govern. Each of us agrees to only bring legal actions about this agreement in a UK court.
Please visit the website for details of our free returns service. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, return it to us (unworn) within 21 days and we will exchange the goods or give you a full refund of the value of the goods. Please allow us 10 days to process. Your statutory rights are not affected. Please note: Joe Browns currently does not have shop outlets.

When you recommend a friend, instead of receiving a £5 voucher you will receive £10 to spend at Joe Browns as you are part of Joe's Best. You'll receive two separate £5 vouchers via email.
