Behind the Scenes From Our Autumn Winter Photoshoot

At Joe Browns, we’re all about embracing individuality, having a laugh, and doing things a little differently – and this year’s shoot was no exception!

It’s that time again… our brand-new Autumn/Winter collection is ready to make its grand entrance, and what better way to show it off than with one of our legendary lifestyle shoots? From breathtaking locations to unexpected challenges – think hot weather and last-minute outfit changes – come along for an exclusive peek behind the curtain and see how we brought our Autumn/Winter 2025 collection to life. 

Finding new models, the right locations, sticking to the budget, and staying on schedule (which we do down to the wire!) is a big project, but we always deliver – with a tonne of JB style!

 This season, we welcomed lots of lovely new faces, including the fabulous Joyce and wonderful Leonie. They both flew all the way from Amsterdam to join our shoot! It’s always exciting when new models connect with the brand, bringing that fresh spark that makes each season’s photography truly remarkable. 

The right location is just as important as styling the perfect looks and it came together over seven days and across five distinct locations. Each new place was selected to align with the unique themes of our collection. Before finalising any spots, we visited each location to check lighting, access, and overall fit. Not everything went smoothly – our Whitby scouting trip descended into chaos thanks to bold seagulls and a stolen portion of chips!

Eventually, we found the stunning locations that would bring our clothes to life.

We started our shoot in the charming streets of York – which also included shooting in Marzano Italian Grill and SPARK York.

This was followed by an amazing day shooting our vintage inspired styles at Keighley & Worth Valley Railway at the Oxenhope station.

Another day saw us shooting at the Sandinista Bar in Leeds – can you keep up? We told you it was a busy shoot!

Our next location was in Keswick in the Lake District, where we spent two days shooting in a heatwave - not great for the models who were wearing knitwear and coats! We shot our boho inspired styles in front of the breath-taking views around the lake next to Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa. Behind the lens, photographer Kev pulled out all the stops - shooting through branches, and from low angle to capture the collection in a dynamic way. A later finish on the last day meant we could get some beautiful evening glow photography!

We then headed to Race The Waves in Bridlington to shoot our menswear collection. It’s a high-energy event held every year in Bridlington where people travel from all over the world to race their vintage racers, hot rods and bikes. It was a very busy but exciting day as we shot with Billy and new model Ricki with cars racing up and down the sand - there’s always a real buzz when we shoot here! 

We met some amazing people on the day including Roger, who was racing with his 1953 Chevrolet 3100 and was happy to meet us the following week for our final photoshoot at Dalby Forest so we could shoot with it. He also made an unexpected appearance in some of the shots - as a big Joe Browns fan, it was only right! 

The panoramas of the Lake District, the high‑energy Race the Waves rally, and the atmospheric woodlands of Dalby Forest each brought a unique array of locations to helped us to create a remarkable photoshoot.

After all the hard work from our entire team, we called it a wrap! And the result? Truly remarkable shots we can’t wait to share with you!
