This one can be a little tricky, as necklines come into play. The best way to wear this look is to make sure your dress has some sort of collar, such as a shirt dress or a cowl neck. This way, the sweater looks intentional rather than like an afterthought.

Though there's plenty of jumper styles to choose from, the jersey jumper is our favourite as the material feels so soft and luxurious. Let your layers take centre stage by choosing a neutral tone or a shade that brings out your poncho's bold design.

If you're the kind of woman who loves to flaunt a sleek tailored suit, no matter the occasion, you'll be happy to know that you can layer up for winter without sacrificing your style.

Wearing your knitwear under your tailoring is such an elegant way to keep warm, bringing a touch of Old Hollywood Glamour to your autumn ensembles.

Opt for a suit with an eye-catching print, like checks or houndstooth, and an earthy autumnal palette. Then, swap out your usual white blouse for a soft knitted top. Make sure to choose a top with luxurious details, like embroidery and tie neck designs, to match the elegance of your suit.
