What to Wear to a Christmas Market 

Is it even Christmas without attending a Christmas Market? All over the world, people embrace the magic of Christmas markets – and us here at Joe Browns are no different. Here’s the guide on what to wear to Christmas markets, inspired by Christmas Markets from around Europe.  

Capture the spirit of London during the festive season by dressing for timeless elegance. This city’s rich history and sophisticated street style sets the stage for a memorable Christmas market experience. So, here’s a breakdown of what to wear to make the most of your visit.  

The Coat: A classic longline, well-tailored coat is a London fashion staple, and it’s perfect for both style and warmth. Either keep it monochrome with a classic print, such as houndstooth, or alternatively, opt for a deep berry or green colour that complements the festive season. 

The Outfit: We love the chic look of a sweater dress. Choose one with a block colour or classic knit pattern, such as cable knit. This really adds a touch of classic London flair. 

The Shoes: Knee high boots are a must if you’re wearing a sweater dress, or ankle boots if your dress is on the longer side. Whether you prefer flat or heeled, they’re an essential accessory for a London-inspired look. 

Accessorise: Complete your outfit with a peaked hat or baker boy hat and stylish scarf. Also, don’t forget to add some festive sparkle with a touch of statement jewellery or a classic brooch.

Here’s what to wear to Prague’s Christmas market this year. 

The Dress: Velvet, velour and devore dresses have landed in abundance in Joe Browns, so it’s no surprise that these will bring all the fairytale vibes with a romantic twist. We love deep jewel tones like emerald and ruby to really heighten the glamour here.
