Roll on good times, blue skies and hazy days – this is where our Mombasa Spirit collection lives. With easy, breezy styles that pack plenty of character inspired by culture and heritage, it’s time to discover a collection that’s begging to meet your wardrobe.  

Our buyers and designers travel far and wide to bring our exclusive Joe Browns collections to life, inspired by the rich cultures we visit. This collection harkens back to our Kenyan travels. Taking it easy on the sunny shores of the Mombasa beach, immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture of the East African coastline, we were totally inspired by a symphony of African patterns punctuating palm-lined streets.  

Any pathway or avenue we took ended at the beach, where every view, sound and smell gave us a pure sense of joy and liberation. This was the moment we knew we had to make a collection inspired by the unadulterated joy that Mombasa gave us. Let’s dive right in.  

Expect plenty of rich, warm colour and print in this collection, inspired by traditional Kenyan occasionwear. Featuring exotic tile prints and craft-based statement pieces in floaty, relaxed shapes and styles, this is a collection that holds no prisoners when it comes to the essence of feel-good styles that are so easy to wear. Inspired by the coastline in Mombasa, we kept these styles as beachy and vibrant as its culture and atmosphere for easy summer styling.  

With a seriously strong colour palette of heat-packed oranges, pinks, reds and yellows with fresh pops of white and cream, there’s no doubt this collection was inspired by East African sunsets. We wanted to bring these rich colours together in a practical way, so we’ve also introduced black elements to the collection to make these styles super easy to mix-and match. With statement prints and silhouettes, we’ve also introduced plenty of block-coloured pieces to bring endless styling possibilities to the table.
