Shelby Blue Leather Brogues
Did you know that the modern-day, trusty brogue can trace its origins back to olden day Scotland and Ireland and a quite rudimentary shoe made using untanned hide…Now there’s a fact for you!
Back in the day, the holes were apparently punched into the leather to allow water to drain from the shoe when the wearer had crossed wet terrain such as bog land! Of course, things are quite different today and, far from being formal country attire, brogues are now a stylish and flexible footwear option that can be dressed up or down, depending on your plans for the day. And, as you would expect, a Joe Browns brogue is never an ordinary pair of shoes!
The Shelby Blue Leather Brogues, for example…. Made with a blend of high-quality suede and leather, the contrasting tan coloured sole really create a point of difference. We’ve added an extra Joe Browns twist to these smart and sophisticated Brogues, with a unique paisley print lining throughout.
