Nine Autumn Top Picks From the Women of Joe Browns!

This week, the Joe Browns team grilled some of our women to find their top picks from our new autumn collection. With so many styles to choose from, it’s hard to know where to start, so read on to find the top picks that we love to wear day in, day out according to the Joe Browns ladies. 

With so many different styles, tastes and personalities, you’re bound to find something that sings out to your unique style.

"It’s super versatile, plus someone always comments about the colour when I wear it"

Sophie, our Head of Human Resources is a huge Joe Browns fan. Usually seen around our Leeds-based head office in head-to-toe-Joe, (plus some ultra-cool Doctor Who-themed accessories!) there was a struggle to pick just one item. 

Finally landing on the Marvellous Moleskin Jacket, Sophie says “The colour is just beautiful! The material feels really good, and I can work it with a pair of jeans or a dress if I want a smarter look. It’s super versatile, plus someone always comments about the colour when I wear it.”

Rachel, our Head of Quality Control has the height advantage and is a lover of the maxi. Being a head of department usually means she’s a very busy bee, but that doesn’t stop her from looking fab in JB while she takes her tasks by storm. 

Rachel’s top pick is the Bold and Beautiful Floral Dress - and we’re really not surprised – it's a real favourite of the season. “I love, love, LOVE this dress! The new fabric feels so soft against the skin – I feel so elegant that it makes me stand up tall and proud when wearing it. I’ve accessorised with orange kitten heels and a matching bag, it’ll be perfect for my cousin’s wedding in a couple of months.”

Our Digital Content Manager is up next. Bryony is the person behind the Inspiration and blog articles. (Hello! Thanks for reading my articles!) Often spotted either wearing thrifted items, Joe Browns samples or transitional favourites from earlier seasons, we seriously fear for the structural integrity of her wardrobe. 

Bryony’s top pick is her Ultimate Lightweight Coat. “I seriously adore this coat. It feels blanket-soft and its stand-out pattern makes sure I’m always found by friends when I go wandering off. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks, but I always get compliments on it whenever I wear it. This is an amazing transitional coat, as there’s no fastening, making it a fantastic layering piece to see a curated outfit underneath.”

Tracey, our Marketing Director, is an expert in looking put-together despite being one of the busiest people at Joe Browns. Every girl-boss needs a damn fine blazer, so it’s no surprise Tracey made a bee-line toward this piece. 

Her top choice is the Lavish Leather Blazer. “I was soooo excited when this came into the range! The leather is fabulously soft, high quality and the lining is seriously stunning. I can dress it up or down too so it’s great value for money. I can see this being in my wardrobe for a very long time!”

Ashley, our Customer Care Supervisor always has a Joe Browns package as soon as a new season comes out. Ashley is a lover of practicality and comfort, but isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd, often spotted around the office in the classic Joe Browns jeans-and-a-nice-top look.

Ashley’s top pick from this season is the New York Style Coat. “I looooove the colours in this coat. I ordered it for my city break at the end of the month – it's the perfect weight for a summer/autumn crossover coat.”

Clare, one of our Customer Care Advisors, is a massive fan of anything Joe Browns. We can tell when Clare has made an order – because it’s always the biggest parcel on the shelf. Usually seen rocking a tunic, Clare’s looks are as bold and bright as her personality – usually topped off with a Joe Browns shoe. 

Clare’s top pick from this season is the Wonderful Willow Tunic. “This is my pick. It’s wonderfully flattering, going with leggings and some calf length boots perfectly. I originally bought it for a ‘no-black’ funeral, but it’s quickly become a favourite - it’s my new go-to for recent mate dates and the theatre. It was also super comfortable when I drove a long road trip – this tunic does it all!”

Fiona, our Head of E-Commerce is the busy bee of the web team. Fiona is consistently spotted in floaty maxi skirts and ruffle tops or beautiful boho maxi dresses. She’s usually found in back-to-back meetings, but always has time to don a floaty dress in the morning. 

Fiona’s top pick from our autumn collection is the Autumn Florals Sienna Dress. “I love this dress! The V-neckline, button detail and stretchy waistband are super flattering, plus it’s great for transitioning between seasons thanks to its shorter sleeves and swishy skirt”

Our Customer Care Advisor, Jess, is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to the world of fashion. From running an independent business making clothes for performers, plus previous experience as a stylist, photographer and a model, Jess is easily spotted by her pink hair, 6-foot-something stature and striking outfit ensembles. 

Jess’s pick is Joe’s Glorious Boho Dress. “As a stylist, it’s essential to create several ways to wear one piece, so I was immediately drawn to this dress to add to my (already huge) collection of JB button-through dresses. I’m loving styling it open as a kimono over shorter dresses or trousers just as much as the intended way to wear. Plus, I love teaming it with the pink fringed bag, too! I imagine the Joe Browns office will be sick of the sight of this dress on me by next season!”

I mean, if you need to trust anyone’s opinion, it’s the photographer. As well as providing our Autumn Top Picks for Men, they’ve also picked out a couple of their favourite items they’ve photographed from model to mannequin. Nisha is spotted by their bright lilac bob, usually in an oversized jumper with a coffee in hand. Consistency is key!

Nisha’s picks are the Rose Garden Floral Skirt and the Sophisticated Square Neck Jumper. “I absolutely love the cute print on the Rose Garden Floral Skirt! It’s lovely and warm for those chilly autumn days and looks great with a pair of chunky boots! The balloon sleeves and square neckline of the jumper are super flattering - I’m loving the bright pop of blue it adds to my outfits!”
