Get Race-Day Ready This Autumn With Joe Browns

Heading to the races this season? We’ve got some sensational styles in our autumn collection that’ll make sure you’re a front runner in the style stakes, while looking and feeling fantastic. Stand out from the crowd wearing Joe Browns and make sure you’re the best dressed race-goer!
We’re teaming up with Wetherby Racecourse as their Style Partner this autumn, which means we’ll be helping pick the Most Stylish racegoer at the Charlie Hall meeting on Saturday 3rd November. We can’t wait to see what amazing outfits everyone will be wearing on the day.
We spoke to Michelle Campbell, who’s the marketing manager at Wetherby Racecourse. She said, “There is a misconception about dressing for winter racing, in that some think that you have to have a waxed country jacket and wellies in your wardrobe and it is so not the case. Joe Browns clothing is colourful, fun and at times quirky and I think it is a perfect fit with winter racing.”
Here’s some of our favourite women’s and men’s styles perfect for autumn/winter race days.
Women’s

You can’t go wrong with a floral dress at the races and the In The Meadow Dress is a unique choice with its pretty floral print, flattering silhouette and capped sleeves. To top it off you can wear the dress on or off the shoulder, meaning you can style it your own way. Michelle from Wetherby Racecourse shared with us her favourite pieces from the collection. She said, “There are so many pieces in the Joe Browns range that I love, but if I had to pick out just two they would be the red Fox Cord Dress and the Joyful Winter Coat. I love the colours, the fabrics and the print and the cut of both dress and coat are perfect. Both items are also really easy to dress up or down, which is important. Versatility in an outfit means you get more wear out of it. These two pieces are definitely on my wish list this season.”
Sweetheart Vintage Style Dress (£39.95) and Joe’s Signature Leather Jacket(£219.95)
We’re loving the Sweetheart Vintage Style Dress this season with it’s cut-out V-neck and gorgeous mustard floral print. Mustard’s a key trend this season but we’ve put our Joe Browns twist on it, meaning you’re bound to get noticed wearing this outfit. Layer Joe’s Signature Leather Jacket over the dress – it will add some edge to the floral print and it’s a great alternative to a blazer style jacket.

If you’re looking for a more tailored jacket, then why not go for one of our unique styles and team it with a matching waistcoat? We’ve got a great selection this season but one of our favourites is the Sweet Plum Jacket which comes in a rich, berry tone, has luxurious velvet trims and is finished off with quirky buttons. It’s important to look good at the races but it’s also important to feel comfortable, so we’d suggest finishing this look off with jeans and long boots.

If you’re going to wrap up warm at the races then make sure you do it in style wearing the Joyous Jacquard Coat. Turning up the jeans up at the hem finishes off the look in our opinion and wearing the Waxed Leather Brogue Boots are a brilliant choice for being on your feet all day.
