This week we caught up with clothing manufacturer Matt Lea! Matt has not one, not two, but three clothing factories, one in the UK and two in China.

Despite being a super busy man, Matt made the time (by defying time itself!) to tell us here at Joe Browns what makes him tick!

Check out the interview below to find out more…

Why do you like Joe Browns?

I really like the quirky styling, it’s great as it’s not too over the top. Their clothes always fit well and you can tell they’re great quality!

What makes an individual?

I would have to say it’s about being yourself at all times and making the best of all the situations you encounter in life.

How important is it to be yourself?

It is possibly one of the most important things you can be in life! Because if you’re not, people will easily see through it.

What’s your idea of a good time?

My idea of a good time has to be being with great friends, in a fantastic restaurant, enjoying fabulous food, with a beautiful glass of red in hand.

How did you find being in front of the camera?

I absolutely loved it and the guys just made everything so easy and natural for me.

Fancy any future modelling?

Without a doubt! I am going to sign up to an agency next week in London, not for the money but, simply for the fun. You’re never too old!

What was the best bit of the shoot or do you have any behind the scenes secrets?

The best bit was working with the Joe Browns crew and Kevin the photographer. They’re just really down to earth, beautiful people!

Which individual inspires you the most?

Without a doubt it would have to be Thom Yorke from Radiohead. The way that man stays true to himself, whilst producing some of the most beautiful and haunting music, on his own terms is nothing short of incredible!

When was the last time you did something for the first time and what was it?

I climbed two mountains in Yosemite National Park and saw the most wonderful scenery and incredible waterfalls. It was truly the most enlightening experience. Although 6.5 hours of climbing was very exhausting, it was so worth it because it was so rewarding!

We hope you found Matt just as inspiring as we did! If so, why not find your individual style over on the site. Shop menswear styles here and womenswear styles here.
