Celebrate The Individual – Meet Jake
This week we caught up with the cool and collected Jake whose day to day job at Joe Browns HQ is all about the numbers working as one of our savvy data analysts!
Check out his interview below to find out what makes Jake, well Jake!
Occupation?
Merchandise Data Analyst for Joe Browns.
Which is your favourite style from Joe Browns?
I usually just go for a tee and skinny jeans, but my personal favourite item from the new range is the Check Out My Ride Shirt £34.95.
Jake is wearing the Denim Utility Shirt £39.95/Happy Days Waistcoat £44.95/ Sensational Skinny Jeans £29.95.
Why do you like Joe Browns?
I’d have to say the individual styles and great quality it offers. I particularly love the shirts as I’m a really big fan of the prints, in fact I’m currently wearing one now!
What makes an individual?
Having a laugh, enjoying life but most importantly not compromising yourself!
How important is it to be yourself?
It’s very important to be yourself and to make sure you do what you feel comfortable with.
What’s your idea of a good time?
Mostly spending time with friends, preferably with a JD and coke in hand! I love to go out in Leeds as it’s always a great night! Most weekends you’ll catch me at Belgrave or one of the bars on Merrion Street but never Greek street, they don’t allow trainers so that’s a definite no from me!
I’m also really into football, I play competitively ‘5 a side’ most weeks but I’m not quite at semi-pro status just yet!
How did you find being in front of the camera?
Slightly awkward as I’m no pro but I had such a good laugh!
Fancy any future modelling?
After the fun I had doing it, never say never! Since working for the company I was part of a fashion catwalk with a total of 8 outfit changes (haha), and most recently I was part of the 20th Anniversary photoshoot, which was a real laugh! Wondering when my next debut will be…
What was the best bit of the shoot or do you have any behind the scenes secrets?
The guys who I was working with. Our head of creative, Rich, was a real laugh on set trying to help me relax and have a bit of fun and most importantly reminding me to keep my eyes open when I smiled haha!
Which individual inspires you the most?
My dad. A hardworking individual, who never complains.
When was the last time you did something for the first time and what was it?
I went travelling around Australia for 2 months at the beginning of the year and it was honestly amazing!
I particularly enjoyed my visit to Lake McKenzie. I’m really keen to go back but next time I’d like to visit Perth.
Keep tuned to our blog over the next few weeks as we have plenty more interviews with our real models coming up soon…
